Baton

Trinity Twirlers is a comprehensive twirling program where students will develop a new interest and love for twirling.

This program is dedicated to refining dance twirl skills from the very basics to a fun polished routine.

Twirlers in grades K-8th and of all skill levels will learn many new skills in group or private lessons.

Students will learn proper twirling technique, basic tricks, spins, tosses, dance motions, positions, basic strutting, and some other fun twirling skills. Lessons in ribbons, steamers, flags, hoops two batons and three batons are available in private sessions.

Students will acquire many benefits from physical activity, team work, and confidence building in a positive, fun, and motivating atmosphere.

Chanisha Mendenhall, Faculty

Chanisha Mendenhall has been studying, competing and performing the art of baton twirling in a variety of forms for nearly 15 years. Raised in the Scott Depot area and a Winfield graduate, Ms. Mendenhall studied baton under her mother, a twirl coach and registered National Baton Twirling Association judge.

She was Majorette Captain and Feature Twirler at Winfield High School, has performed in several parades across the state and twirled at games for the Indiana Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Entering her third year as a Marshall University Majorette, Ms. Mendenhall is pursuing a degree in music education. She has instructed teams and taught private lessons for many years and loves to help children learn and grow in the art of twirling.
