The Artistic Discovery Camp is an exciting arts camp that awakens a sense of imagination, wonder and creativity for students grades 1st – 12th. Hands on activities engage students as active participants in six art methods each day.
All classes are taught by a professional faculty that is passionate about helping participants discover their artistic talent.
Daily classes include:
- Dance – two dance classes daily in Hip-Hop and Tap.
- Theater – all aspects of the theater including improvisation, characterization, dramatic monologue, fable, gesture, imagery, staging, props, costuming, make-up.
- Music – hands-on education in percussion instruments, including drums from other cultures.
- Choir – harmony and rhythm as well as music theory and proper singing techniques.
- Art—painting, watercolors, pencil drawing, charcoal, still life and more.
This week long camp culminates with a Friday evening “Arts Celebration” that showcases all of the participants in their newly developed skills.
